What's some weird whacked out stuff that you've cut? I've done a bunch of xrays lately - kinda keen to give postcards a run.
Came out so so...

I would love to hear your examples. Are the audio files posted any where?

Ive physically cut into Xrays before, and they were awful, just 'shredded' instead of cleanly embossing, or cut through the sheet entirely when cutting.

what method did you use?
making lathe cuts on a Presto 6N, HIFI stereo cuts on vinylrecorder

the only way I was able to get good clean cuts with a X-ray was using a diamond shank.
Sapphire or ruby just can't make the cut.

I used a diamond today get a nice cut. Just a little lamp heat and styli heat... and make sure you only cut on the side that isn't printed. The swarf comes off kinda ok- just gotta keep an eye on it and pull it out slowly by hand. I didn't use any turtle wax or and antistatic as I did once and it kinda made everything to weak....
