I'm the proud owner of a Victor VV-100

Devoted to discussion of all-acoustic record-playing machines, such as Edison cylinder players, Victrolas, Brunswick Ultonas, and the like. When the Big Blackout happens, this will be the only audio evidence of our civilization (as it is).

so far my favorite records to play are the Sousa marches collection.
some of the old vocal w/orchestra stuff is good as well.

at some point, I'll try out a cactus/fibre needle to playback a polycarb lathe cut.
wish me luck!

Congratulations! Looks great. I have one that looks like the same model, or at least very simlar. I'll have to check my model number. I tried using a cactus needle for playing a lacquer and it didn't do so well. I'm anxious to hear your experience with a poly.
Have fun!

I don't have the serial number on hand, but I remember it landing in the 1922 range.
