Looking to buy Recordiopoint cutting needles.

Does anyone have or know where I can find a decent supply of Recordiopoint cutting needles? A suitable substitute would also work, I'm just not sure what to look for. I've got a Wilcox-Gay Recordette, Model 8J10. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I only have one good cutting needle in my possession.

Yep check out classified section here on the group for comments by users but you can get them from Jerry he lists them on eBay here goes: 281255271864 $10 a pop. Which reminds me I need to get some Grampian short shanks from him.

It's cheaper than diamonds whilst learning how to use and set up the Sugden Cutting lathe.

Are these ones stellite or steel? Here's a hint for you: You can sharpen the steel ones yourself, on a stone, and get a LOT of extra life out of them. Which is good, as the steel ones last only a few cuts.

Thanks, y'all. This helps a lot. Just purchased a couple, per your eBay recommendation.

I guess you guys don't actually want a genuine "Recordiopoint" cutting stylus that I offered?
Thank you Steve,
someone asks for a specific item,
I offer the specific item :D
and you suggest they buy something totally different! That was very nice of you :?:
