hello
too late for any interested audience, fans and groopies. but still want to share.

just played before christmas my first set of wood instead vinyl....

the discs are all cut from 10 inch trees.
the tonearms and needles are all made out of branches, leaves, fruits of different trees. for this special christmas gig it was made out of fir tree.
all handmade "bio" moving coil pickups.

also the motors for th turntables will be running on steam in future....

It plays sounds based on the grain. The playback "needle" is more of an optical sensor. Creates midi output that triggers a piano sound.

Sorry Flo!!! I really thought this was a joke. With only the pictures and no audio or video I thought you were just kidding around. Don't mean to offend.

I thought the optical player was sort of cool. The video that you posted sounds like popcorn popping. What other soudns do you get?

swooon.

I prefer Flo's one that plays the actual sounds of wood to the midi "ring reading" one, playing piano chords, that about 20 people have sent to me. But then, I'm a big pre-electric fan. ;)


Flo, is there any video of you DJing like this? this is so fantastic.
