Audax RH5 stylus?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Is there anywhere to get a new stylus for an Audax RH5?

Perhaps a few dimensions would be useful ie overall length diameter of shank & what material do you intend to cut (or emboss)

I’d like to cut lacquers.

I believe it’s SHORT SHANK 5/8" OVER-ALL STYLUS LENGHT.

are you looking to cut or emboss? I haves some short sapphire if you are cutting lacquers. If your embossing on polycarbonate, talk to mike about his cones .They have give me the best results. But before you give up on your styles, try using it to emboss on polycarb sheet . When they start adding squeak or floor noise, I turn them 190 degrees for embossing. Lean 3 to 5 degrees forward, put 35grams of weight as a starting point .Then through a microscope, adjust to 3mil groove. Some claim to get as clean a sound as the cones, or better. any way on the off chance you found some lacquers and wanted to cut them , i have some sapphire .dm me
