Who was "MKC"?
This is my first post here and it may be in the wrong location; I apologize beforehand
I'd like to ask if anyone knows the identity of a mastering engineer who worked at CBS' Carrollton, Georgia, USA pressing plant from 1981 on who signed his lacquers with the monogram "MKC". This sig appears on literally hundreds of Carrollton pressings, and, being the inquisitive type, I'd really love to find out who it was. One of the earliest instances I can find is on a Carrollton pressing of Return To Forever's "Romantic Warrior" from 1981 (it had to be that early because there's no barcode on the cover). Side B has the MKC etch, while Side A was signed by Chet Bennett.
Anyone who knows - I'll gladly buy you a beer!

You're asking a bout a disc cutting engineer from 40 years ago. I doubt anybody here was cutting back then. There are many topics like this on Discogs and you should be able to search it there.

Re: Who was "MKC"?
there was a post by "emorritt" in this thread that wasn't really by emorritt. He contacted me, and I'm zapping it. Weird stuff! Let's all be on the lookout for that phenomenon....
