ive done about 10 records with peter.
the quality varies. 10" sounded better at 33 than 45 and on every record ive done. there seems to be a extra delay effect after every track. like an echo in the background or something
. they are cool and fun to do but just get it pressed.

your cutting head may be demagnetized
that seems to be the case most often
contact gib epling at west-tech there is a link on this site
he fixes all that stuff.

thanks it seemed to work somewhat
i still cant get much of a clear sound

-proper functioning tubes
-new cutting needles
-new blank acetate


am i cutting to deep not deep enough

what is a good cutting depth
do you know any websites on home lathes for beginners.

what am i doing wrong

hi
i recently purchased a western sound laboratories lathe from 1950??
anyways when i kut into the acetates i can barely get an audible sound and there is a krazzy dist. i bought this on a whim and have no real knowlege of how to work these things. if anyone can help please send me som info.
