Great news coming from a great machinist, Im hoping that it will be able to mount on my ROK m12! Re: starting a war here... (cutting on virgin vinyl related)

Starting a war, really? Whats the point? What gain are YOU after IF you win this war? HQ is very subjective thing, is there a law or regulation regarding what is HQ, whos the point of view is the truth? Stop wasting your time worrying, complaining about what others do, just control what you can cont...

Re: long shank or short shank?

Gridlock, oh as far flipping the shank, I do it with my sapphire and its capable of doing a excellent embossing....when I get the styli position sitting just right, but its quite a hassle sometimes, so I prefer the goodturn tungsten cones , but I have never tried turning my diamond styli backwards b...

Re: long shank or short shank?

Gridlock, ok got it, thanks for elaborating a bit more, sorry but english isnt my native language. I feel the same about using computers to record, not that I havent used them before for music production, or occasionaly still do it just for editing audio. Went back to 1/4inch tape 12years ago,but th...

Re: long shank or short shank?

Greetings to all, couple of mnths ago I finally ordered my first new styli and blanks from MYSHANK, and I gotta tell others that havent tried Stevens diamond styli or soft pvc blanks that you owe it to yourself to try out that combo , after one year of experimenting with embossing on poly with incon...

Re: Variable speed motor for lpi?

Taiwan is full of electric bikes, scooters , I dont have enuff expertise on this topic, but those electric motors on the bikes can carry me and someone on the back uphill at the lowest speed or maximum speed, so im guessing this kind of electric motor doesnt loose torque when less voltage is used to...

Re: Neumann AM32 - Looking to sell in original condition

that neumann is better off in Japan in the owners bedroom being used as a playback deck than being a neglected relic of the past sitting in storage, uncared for ,and unmaintained. im quite sure thats probably alot more common than finding a cutting lathe in someones bedroom,or in a store as a display...

Re: Neumann AM32 - Looking to sell in original condition

dont sell it to anyone in Asia, it will never be used to cut record again. now is that fact!? a very commonly repeated attitude in these forums ,“what ever you do dont sell it to Asia”. i really wonder how many perfectly functional recording lathes exists around the world but dont EVER get to cut an...

Soulbear, that post with the heckling was my post,i was really just as intrigued by that head as youare, but i had to hold on to my funds, otherwise i would of bought it just for the sake of using as a learning tool to understand mono cutterhead engineering. if it sounded decent, then it would be an ext...
