Re: Plating and Pressing in the media.

Article on the new Pressing plant in Middlesbrough, England-there have been a few articles in the local media surrounding the plant, but this one is national, so they're getting some attention.. - not savvy enough to embed it -maybe someone can get the pics up? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-...

Hello to all, good to be back in the fray... What I really need is the schematics to the 1202 Toolex Alpha Automatic Press, any wiring diagrams for the boards, cards information and any company promotional literature featuring any specification sheet, what options there were available - and in which...

Re: Splatter, color, and wacky vinyl records.

WoW!! that second one is incredible! ... looks like a swamp! ...is it just a random sprinkling of beads that gets that formation..? ..was talking to a friend who worked for Damont Records (now closed) here in the UK, who did nearly ALL of the shaped picture disc work in the uk in the 1980's/90's, an...

Re: Splatter, color, and wacky vinyl records.

...interesting thread this...as we used to (unofficially..!) play around with colours at Independent in Nottingham - we came up with a few things - all semi legit pressings as we sent them out into the world without anyone knowing...sneaky way to create legendary LTD EDN records - people have been d...

Hi All, Had some unfortunate news this past month , as my engineer, mentor, and friend who has guided me through this whole process of setting up on my own, is no longer with us... Diy press...

...Makes a mockery of those so-called professional ovens that the industry use - why shell out £600-£800 for a non-domestic one when a small electric will do the ob admirably? - by the way Oz - is your name Mikey? - Would really like to see someone have a go at this...or I just might have a go mysel...

Diy Press...Not for the faint hearted...!

....If I may add a little - You would also need a small, proberly electric oven to warm up the labels, as not many people know - record labels have an adhesive of sorts on the back, but it has to be heated to a certain tempreture to cure to the record in the pressing process, otherwise it just split...

Why Toolex Alpha's are better - Part 2.....

As with all " Delicate " Machinary - and I use the word delicate on purpose, is that with " Big Bet " you have have to coax the best out of her - Long-running hours have been the Norm recently, and she has been as tough as a diamond ! -And I'm lucky really, as I have an Old Time-served Precision Too...
