If the files look like rectangular boxes on your DAW, try lowering the digital output..if this just results in smaller rectangular boxes then you'll have to make do Occasionally you will see the peaks and valleys of the waveform return depending on how the original was boosted. Do any of the trolls have a spare 7in reel they could sell me? Don't want to pay the crazy prices I've been seeing on the net, a couple of feet of splicing tape wouldn't

Used an AM 32 B ( the one with the cursor dial for LPI ) at CBS London in the early 70's You used the ammeter movement to estimate the pitch and you had to put a shim on the end diameter stop lever when cutting a 7 inch ! It worked really well , but you had to look at the belts carefully, they used ...

Hi Mossboss, you forgot to mention Icarus who flew too high and got burned! A few of us always believed this rise as a bubble that was not going to burst but perhaps develop a slow leak...dear old gramophone records, back for all the wrong reasons!

CBS's gadget was called an 'ASRA' ..it had 3 1176 limiters and some sort of tuning circuit..difficult to align ..they used it with their Westrex heads which could have excessive vertical movement..most CBS studios bypassed it
