Could you take some pictures of that section? I also note the lack of pitch control knob and pointer extending from the door on the front of t...

Re: Looking to get records cut in bulk
When I was a young lad, about your age, old Doc Schoenemann would be out in his shed on Sunday mornings cutting records. I would help shovel coal into the boiler on his Neumann VMS 14. If he liked you he would cut you a side for a quarter, sometimes for free if you gave him an onion he took a shine ...

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me Whats Going On Here? (Pics Included)
It looks like you have a flat spot on the drive idler that is causing the spoke pattern. You can have them rebuilt at Terry’s rubber rollers. Does the pattern also appear at 33 or 78?

Re: I want to cut the best one off vinyl records in the worl
Hi, buy Larry Bodens book Basic Disc Mastering. Read it. Then do some more research, and then ask your questions. You seem to presume this forum should spoon feed information to the user. On other platforms that may be desirable. In the world of record cutting there is a fair amount of secrecy, it’s...

As long as you don't sign the deadwax and wear gloves to keep your fingerprints off the disc you will be fine.
Agents from the RIAA may come around asking questions but they won't be able to prove anything.

Don't sleep! Historic disc cutting styli boxes!!! The styli that once resided in these boxes are gone!!! What has become of them?? Where have they gone?? Are they in Mike Dixons "tubs of mystery"...... Obviously many are being used as fancy toothpicks in Parisian suburbs, but what of the rest.... ht...

Re: Wanted: Presto 8D feed screws
Hi, the 8D/DG/GV feedscrew is unique to these lathes. It is a square cut screw. The walls of the screw are at 90 degrees on both sides unlike typical Presto screws that use a saw tooth design. The 8D etc. use a halfnut instead of knife to engage the screw. In addition the screw has a moveable collar...
