All right, thank you JayDC and opcode66. In other words, the amp drives the driving coil and the feedback coil is generating a voltage, especially in the resonance range of the cutterhead. This voltage goes to the amp and gets summed in small amounts with the drive signal, so that the resonances get...

could someone please point out in a sentence or two what the feedback coil is doing in a cutterhead? Would be nice, since I like to understand the function of those. Are they just moving the opposite direction as the driving coil?

Looks like he has used different cutterheads, in the first video its piezo based as far as i can see. Apart from that a lot of common parts and some real sensitivity.
