I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned in the thread, but if you're operating a magnetic head, you will need an aluminum spacer on the iron platter.

I've got a RekOKut Challenger with a presto head. The entire machine has been completely restored mechanically and electronically, and has some great add-ons. I'm parting with it in favor of my Gotham/Grampian/Universal/Scully/Westrex system... It's a unique set-up.
