Re: Landsurfing and embossing

Hi folks, Many thanks for the advice. Think I’m nearly there. I’m just stuck between ‘tricky’ tracking with very low noise and ‘no problem’ tracking with a little noise (it’s acceptable but I want to get it better). I guess it might be a trade off. Will experiment a little more this week. Piapkt: I’...

Landsurfing and embossing

Hi Folks,

I am currently embossing and getting some very good results. The only issue I am getting is 'landsurfing' nearly always at the start of the disk. Is this a given with embossing or is there anything I can to do to reduce it happening?

Much appreciated. :)

It was an all in one cutter, with everything setup to perfection when I got purchased it. Made quite a few good cuts, after th...

Re: Sound fluctuations from cutter head

IMG_0545.JPG IMG_0548.JPG IMG_0547.JPG IMG_0545.JPG Think I may have an idea. Seems to be a ever so slight difference in the level between the inside of the platter and outside. So small you wouldn't notice with the naked eye. See photos. Up until now I've been cutting only 7" and this problem (if ...

Sound fluctuations from cutter head

Hi folks, I have been cutting for about a year on and off and mostly getting decent cuts (after getting to grips with static etc). Just recently I have been experiencing something new. Up until now the sound coming from the cutter head and disc whilst cutting has been constant throughout. However du...

Many thanks. I have come across his and I've been using it like a bible. I think Iv sussed it now. Got myself a little air purifying ioniser for £15 from eBay.
