Re: Ebay : VANROCK Disc Cutter
After looking at the post, a big red flag appears. Seller is from the UK, item ships from Tel Aviv.

WTB Astatic M41 cutter head
Hey gang,
ISO an Astatic M41 magnetic cutting head for my Meissner 9-1065 rebuild/mod project. If anyone has one (dead or alive) that they want to part with, I'm all ears! Paypal preferred.

Re: Newbie with a Meissner
The unit was part of an estate, and had been sitting in an attic for almost 40 years. Needless to say, everything soft has become hard and brittle, the crystal cutting head is dead and all of the fabric covered wiring is toast. Re: Newbie with a Meissner
I will definitely post my want in the classified section. Thanks!
As far as rewiring goes, I do plan on bypassing the amp section of the unit for something a tad more modern, hence the desire for a magnetic head wound for an 8-ohm load.

Newbie with a Meissner
Greetings from Upstate NY! I am indeed a lathe newbie, and have just acquired my first machine. It's a Meissner 9-1065, and as expected it is in need of TLC. The refurbishing of the wiring, caps, resistors and stuff I'm not worried about, but the cutting head is a concern. It's fitted with the Astat...
