Re: Miller Hamilton Presses love/hate?
We just de-commissioned four late-generation Hamiltons here, and I feel a great deal of both love and hate towards them haha. What would you like to know? I don't know where "Miller" comes into play so maybe we weren't running what you're asking about.

Re: Plating Facility in (near) Texas?
To my knowledge, there's no one in TX doing plating. 1979 would be your best bet geographically, though you're probably a similar shipping turn-time from NiPro or RTI (both CA,) they might be a day longer.

Re: SMT & Hamilton Mold Alignment Woes...
If I remember correctly, Donny and Greg were the ones who suggested removing the guide posts, haha. I may well reach out to RPA and see about buying fresh guide posts, if for no other reason than to check another possibility off the list. Will look into the platens. One of the SMTs that won't stay l...

Re: SMT & Hamilton Mold Alignment Woes...
I'm referencing the four cylindrical posts about 4" in height that would normally surround the mold coming out of the lower bolster. I believe we're talking about the same thing. We bought most of our presses from the shop up in Brooklyn that shut down years back, and a couple of our SMTs came from ...

Re: Centre Labels
We have received digitally printed samples and had some success with them, but are not currently using them in production runs. GZ Media made them, I'm not sure if anyone else out there is experimenting with it. FWIW, if you ever absolutely HAVE to have metallic ink for a customer request, Hammlett ...

SMT & Hamilton Mold Alignment Woes...
Hey all, Pretty much what the title says. We've got refurbished SMTs and Hamiltons here and lately we are having MAJOR issues with molds coming out of alignment fairly rapidly, to the point that certain presses are having to be re-aligned as regularly as every 8 hours or so. We use RPA made molds wi...

Long time lurker, new user (Plant Production Mgr)
Howdy Trolls, I've been a long time lurker here and finally decided I *might* have learned enough to be a useful contributor here, at least in pressing regards. I'm the Production Manager at Memphis Record Pressing. We've been operational since 10/2014, I've been here in my capacity since July '15. ...
