Re: The Vinyl Recorder - mastering?

the reason you can't cut a master disc is the 1200 turntable that it's meant to be used with, can't accommodate a 14" master. If you were to change out the diamond stylus with a sapphire, there is no reason you couldn't make 12" dubplates on lacquers, or 7" and 10" master cuts. Though the 1200 is n...

Hello okpanda,

How did you remove the overhead on the lead screw? I can't seem to locate where it comes off.
Can you describe the process? Thanks!

Greetings fellow Trolls,

There's a good chance my VM cutter head speaker have sustained some damage, does anyone know where I can get it repaired or order a replacement other than from Souri?

Looking to get this resolved ASAP.

Thanks you in advance for your time and talents.

Best,

Warped Blanks

I've tried using just the heat of the turntable, which is the best method I've found for most issues. That said, I have some blanks that don't flatten with this method. I've tried using...

Re: Swarf Bunching/Vacuum Clogging

Thanks SueDenim, this was a big help. I resealed everywhere I could find and gave it a healthy dose of talc.

Aside from what you recommended, could there be other reasons for this also? Maybe a sudden bump in volume/bass, lack of/too much humidity, excessive heat/lathe running too hot, etc...?
