Atom 101 / Vanrock for a beginner ?

Hello everyone ! As a beginner, I have plans to buy an ATOM 101 / VANROCK Lathe, to start my Journey in record cutting. Do you think that's a good choice to start ? Seems like a better price option for me than a T560, which is pricer, difficult to get, and certainly more difficult to operate. Looks ...

Use 1.5mm or 2mm if you are happy with transparent blanks.

If you want to make colour blanks you will need 1mm blanks to glue together
Alright, so you're painting one side and you glue them together on the painted side ?

If using a diamond stylus you should get PETG, it’s readily available pretty much anywhere in transparent 1mm
Is 1mm enough ? I've seen people using 2mm, or 1.5mm at least... is it gonna affect the sound quality ? Or the overall quality in the long term ?

Thanks for your answer

Have to get in touch with him. Thanks a lot for the drill size ! Did you stick them together to get a 2m...

Re: Making your own Blanks ?

Wow it looks great ! Thanks for you answer. Can you find those sheets in your local hardware store (like home Depot), or directly on a website ?

I think i'll give it a try in a few weeks, and send some pictures here. Thank you !
