Adjust your genre. Perhaps you live in a town where people play old timey music. This is a predecessor to the k series. These make the best 78s. When you are used to cutting at 33, 78 can scare you bc it's so very much faster.

Re: LPI to R/mm Conversion Chart?

JUST SO YOU KNOW. The metric system is a conspiracy by the illuminati to make arithmetic seem managable/palatable//NECESSARY for every world citizen/slave; whereas in the complex unpredictable world we live in is NOT prone to just divide things by 10 for everybody to enjoy. Mathematics, in reality s...

Obviously it chose you and you have the previous owner available for advice. Pick it up unless you want to kick yourself for not picking it up.

Re: What Is This Adjustment For?? Presto K-10 (Pics Included

You don't really need one. On the other linked topic up there^^^ us described the pros and cons of the advance ball. Just forget about it unless you are restoring it for a museum or something? But hey what do I know. On my k8 which is basically the same, the advance ball was just a pointless nub on ...

Re: Cheapest high torque turntable for cutting/embossing?

Look up transcription turntable on eBay also broadcast turntable. I wanna say...garrard ? Someone else chime in I dunno. I know those old idler driven ones have a shit load of torque for no reason and it doesn't matter if there's a tone arm or not because you're just going to put a bunch of crazy gu...

K8 is THE beginner machine. It's awesome too. And cool. You get tons of chicks with it. Spend 100x as much on a scully and you will get less chicks than with a k8

These things do make awesome guitar amps. Be careful it's so old those old caps get crappy after a long time and sometimes the transformer will just fry too. All easily serviceable. Also sounds good on a cut disc. It would probably be worth more to someone here though

If you're into it at this age don't ever stop. When I was your age I made my own using a speaker and a sewing needle. The late great Les Paul made his first lathe out of garbage at age 13. Learn the science before you make an investment but if souri will train you GO FOR IT. from what I hear he's pr...
