Re: RCA 70c with RCA mi-11852/72d and Grampian c/h
20180102_120212.jpg Well...I'm just not going to get around to messing with this. I have 2 prestos...an 8n and a 6n (6n might go too) and i got this to work with as another cutter. Doing some moving and gotta let go of a few things. This unit works and is in decent shape except for a little veneer ...

Re: Grampian c/h
It appears to be non feedback or modified or i can't see where the leftmost terminals go in the mechanism. The tabs are broken off on the back removeable plug. I get 5.6 ohm on the rightmost terminals...no reading on the left.

Re: Grampian c/h
Thanks much! I'm likely going to sell this one...it came with an rca unit i bought and i have 2 other rca heads...one just rebuilt so i don't really need it. I assume this is a feedback unit which i don't have any experience with or an amp for.

Re: starting out cutting, have presto 8n,6n
The machines are in decent shape...just need some cleaning. Honestly, they are still sitting where I brought them to my studio. I'm waiting for the holiday thing to be over so I can get to work. There is a 45 adapter included.

Re: starting out cutting, have presto 8n,6n
thanks for the replies! I'm going slow, step by step. planning to read, read, read. i hope the stereo head materializes...that would be cool! ironically, at the same time i bought the lathes, i upgraded digital interfaces, got a mac, and protools 12. i don't really care..my engineers wanted it. I'm ...

starting out cutting, have presto 8n,6n
Hello. I was lucky enough to get a decent deal on a Presto 8n and a 6N, both in cabs, the 8n with a scope. I have several extra mono heads, spindles, parts, etc. I have a general working theory of how to cut, and just bought the Basic Disc Mastering book. I have an analog studio (and digital) and ha...

mystery lathe
Can anyone identify the make and model of this lathe? I found it at an estate, and have another with no motor or cutter. Any tips would be appreciated.
