Mark: I set all eq flat except highs at 10 to 13+db, max as you recommend, Im reading the VU meter AC and I don't get it far from 3V AC. My head is 8 ohms. How can I know if this is a head issue? thanks Mark for your answer. Today I recorder silent cuts but theres still hiss could be lacquer problem...

new tests: Pictures of no sound grooves, also pictures of light pressure and heavy pressure on the stylus. seems its the lacquer that is getting me into troubles, as my first attempts to record were more successful but still got hiss, now with no sound I still have hiss, I also test the sound chain ...
