the head is remagnetized, but the amp I'm using is actually a regular home stereo amp (I had the head remade to work with it). It doesn't have a VU meter though. I'll continue experimenting I guess :)

Hello, newbie to the whole thing here. I have a lathe and a functioning cutting head, and so far (since Saturday, when I finally got everything set up properly) have only been cutting on "strange" surfaces (CD's, laser discs, a plastic lid). Who is the most reliable supplier of blanks? Any recommend...
