Jay siemens make a single phase motor controller which is frequency agile. It would do exactly what you are trying to do....Look in RS online and you will find one...Not too cheep tho but a lot cheeper than buying a sp10

I wonder if it would be better not to "sum" the feedback signal with the input of a power amp but to inject the feedback signal into the feedback network of the the output stage??? that would help with the slight phase shift of the input differental amp stage... Well it starts as simple as audio is sent to the head... The feedback coil is directly connected to the drive coil and genarates a signal with all the "errors" of the head... Then the feedback is connected to the input of the power amp 180 degrees out of phase thus "Correcting any errors of the head...

Sowter audio transformers can make you the transformers the signal input trans is a off the shelf part . Does anyone have any experiance with how much feedback to use with he grampian type D??? The head paperwork says 20db and cutoff at 500hz. +20db seem alot and it cuts well without feedback and with a small amount of feedback cuts spot on. So I just want to know how much feedback other people use and...

just google. There should be a hobbly supplier somewhere. The polystyrene seems to be softer befor forming so it should be easy to cut. and If you heat it when cutting should become harder when it cools keeping its shape. You may not have to use stylus heat or low heat as it may become a bit gooey. ...

I have used sheets of plastic for a vacume forming machine. They seem soft enough to cut and come with a very smooth side.the two ones I have used are polyproplyene and polystyrene.Iv never cut on them but they are easy to get hold of. In the grampian head manual a long shank styli gives a louder cut but cut the top end off at 12Khz a short shank gives a lower output but the frequency responce goes upto 16khz.
