Did you ever have this issue resolved? Did you say you bought this unit indirectly? Not from Souri?

Love the design, but would have been easy enough to have included a vacuum system, not unlike Souri's VinylRecorder. Also, the torque will probably be an issue if you're going to be putting significant weight on the cutterhead / platter. Maybe not for 7", but definitely anything with a bigger diamet...

Oh yeah!! The issue was that the torque tube didn't have the proper taper. Souri fixed it right away.

Update! I actually heard back from Souri about this and he had me send my cutterhead to him. I now have no issues at all with fit for 320 shank. Cuttin' clean and clear!

In the end, I had no need for an adapter.
