Agreed. At that price point, I'd much rather go the Souri route or buy a refurb Presto from a professional. Granted, those options aren't as "plug and play" as Phonocut aims to be, but that's a pretty pricey trade-off.

Production units haven't shipped out yet. The last delivery estimate from Phonocut was saying they should be shipping out "Winter 2021", so later this year or early 2022.

From what I've read, it cuts 5" blanks, but the playback tonearm can accommodate 7". Definitely a niche toy, but I'll be keeping my eyes open for the wider release.
