Hara 180 type recorder help
hi, I have the hara m180 version disc recorder. On mine, the cutter head when lifted up to go to the platter/ record is not high enough to clear the edge of the record/ platter. If I remove the stylus (what type cutting stylus, long or short, mine is long) and rubber mat, it just clears. My manual i...

ROK master pro M5 feddscrew needed/ mag cutter head
Hi All, I have a ROK model V lathe with the M5 cutter assy. I need a microgroove outside in feedscrew suitable for cutting 45's with the matching 1/2 nut and a good mono cutting head that won't break the bank  I will need the proper mounting holder for the carriage (see my thread in "secrets ...

Re: rek o kut model V with model M5 cutter assy. help
Thanks Tim for the info. ROK did offer a 45rpm idler that replaces the 33 idler and Terry (mentioned in a reply above) can make me a new one. I have to reconnect the power wires to the motor to see what I have in there now (can't read the numbers on my idlers), I may already have the 45 idler. Thank...

Re: rek o kut model V with model M5 cutter assy. help
Hi Piaptk, Looking at the cutter assy (m5), this is the standard model, the M5S is the deluxe with the crank. It seems to make the start and end spiral grooves with the standard M5 (according to the instruction manual I found online), you have to hold up the "carriage saddle" so the 1/2 nut is disen...

Re: rek o kut model V with model M5 cutter assy. help
Lead screws are almost impossible to find. Some body had larger sized ones on Ebay a few months ago. I think they were for a 16" diameter unit. Terry's Rubber Rollers can make you a 45 roller. He has a database of sizes. He re-did a 45rpm roller for my ROK. That lathe by the way, cannot cut lead-in...

Re: rek o kut model V with model M5 cutter assy. help
Hi Piaptk, thanks for the reply. Yah, I know it will be work converting the cutter arm to receive a different head. It is a very stout table (huge 15 1/2" platter!). It runs normally 33/78, but can run 45 with a different idler, not sure what is in there now as I can't read the numbers on the idlers...

rek o kut model V with model M5 cutter assy. help
Not sure this is the proper forum for this topic as I am new to cutters, but not this forum (it's been awhile since I have been in here), so mods, feel free to move this thread. Hi all, I just won this lathe on ebay and have some questions (it's one ROK I have never seen before). I know its missing ...

Hi all, thank you for the apologies. I understand about the price gouging, it's all over the place. As for contacting the buyer of my 6N machine (I wish I could), it's been a couple years since it was sold and I just now found the manual. I would gladly send it to him if I knew where he is located. ...

Ok lou2ser and the rest of you...first off, I am not making copies of a free manual from here and selling them for a profit, I don't do things like that ( I am a good Christian man and try to follow God's plan for me). I have no idea where I got my 1 copy from (emailed lots of folks for one), and it...

presto K10 dating/ configurations
Hi all, its been quite awhile since I was in here. After selling my presto 6N (didn't have the space for it and the other outboard equipment and cables), I dropped out. Well now I have a nice K10 (as it is self contained), serial #6210. I've seen on the net that these are 3 speed (with proper sleeve...
