Hmm, try look if the gears are not grease sticked . Perhaps your machine after 35-40 years must be re-lubed in some parts...

Hi, I am not an owner of a Rek o Kut ( unfortunately ), but I can say that the wobbling problem has caused by platter not exactly so precise. The only solution that isn't cheap but very good for solve the problem, is re-create another platter more precise, with an error of one or two cent. of millim...

I was sure that were square your belts...

So you can use square vhs recorder belts. These are more strong than a normal cassette deck square belts. You can find these in a electronic shop.

Triangular section ? Are you sure ? No square ?

Triang. section belts were used in the past in Uher reel to reel recorders. Unfortunately I haven't seen in shops. Perhaps somewhere in web... I think that were specialized products...

This isn't a problem, you can find orings in ball bearing shops. Are two orings with circular section ?

Hello, probably you must change the belt oring below the machine, on the red pulley. No, I mean the oil inside the cutting head that has working with this system for dampening the movemnt of stylus holder. This system had replaced the old gums that with the time gone... I know that there is people that use these heads like Grampian for example with oil, other no, because prefer anot...
