Well, looking into it "tonight" turned into "this weekend". I checked the cutterhead with a multi-meter and I got a consistent 2.4-2.5 ohms. I'll look into both those issues tonight. I have a multimeter, so I should be able to get an ohm rating. I remember seeing the rubber ring when I was cleaning it, but I didn't get a good look at the condition. Thanks!
