Re: T560 diamond stylus, constant problem
I have tried different stylus L/R angles (a little changes), different weights, different L/R cutting head positioning but the same thing again and again

Re: T560 diamond stylus, constant problem
This is not the fuse. Maybe I wrote it not super clear:
I mean, new stylus - works great, but when its getting old - after XXX hours - right channel goes bad (hiss). It would be OK if sometimes left would go bad, or both, or any random thing. But it's always right one...

T560 diamond stylus, constant problem
I've got constant problem with stylus that "fails" only on the right channel. Over the years of cutting, only right channel starts to hiss after some time. I've tried (many times) repositioning it, changing (delicate) angle of the cut - L/R - but it's still the same. I'm loosing quality on right cha...

Re: Cuttertone – Vinyl cutting pre-processor VST
I use cuttertone sometimes to get rid of harshness but only for mastering but not for cutting. This tool is useless for cutting records. It's a HF limiter with additional stereo widener and a (heavy pumping) compressor. You will get worse results than your dry track, whatever setting you make on thi...

Re: Presto K8 - 33rpm adapter
Thanks a lot! I now looked at the pulley and it's made of 2 parts. It was very hard to separate them. But I sorted it out.
By the way, is there any manual for K8 available online? All links here (and google) are dead...

Presto K8 - 33rpm adapter
I've been cutting with K8 for a while but it's set up at 78rpm. Do I need special pulley on the motor to record on 33 or 45rpm?
As far as I can tell K8 does not use any rubber rollers between motor and platter, right?

Re: rek-o-kut help
Thank you guys. It appears that everything is OK now (I moved that little srews in the 78-33 selector and now it holds the platter OK, but I get a lot of rumble/noise. Should I replace the motor shaft/ending? How do I change it? Where can I buy something similar? I think the inner (metal) diameter i...

Re: rek-o-kut help
I wouldn't change anything until you get the adjusting screw in the right place. From my experience if you allow the rubber jam too hard against the the rim of the platter you get some speed variation. I think this is because the force against the rim is pushing the rubber out of round. You have to...
