My Hara M-180 is supposed to run at 45rpm but it actually runs at about 57rpm with the 100V transformer. I use Audacity and I speed the song up to about 25.8% before I cut. Sounds beautiful when playing on a 45rpm turntable when the amp in the lathe wants to work right. do you use a voltage convert...

hi I recently got a very similar lathe. I think mine is the Hara 705 II . anyhow, I can't see the photos in this thread, maybe because the post is so old/ they are all out of focus. hi is there a reason that when i cut records sometimes the recording head starts to smoke? too loud? art the tunes too hot?

is there any where to sharpen these things, or to buy new sapphire or diamond short shank stylus?
i think i may have a stallite stylus but i'm not sure.

it says 120 oi 7 on the lead screw. i don't think the head needs to be rebuilt because it sounds pretty good on lacquer discs. . it is a bit hissy, but i think that may be because of a dull stylus. i have the schimatisc to make a heated stylus from a diy audio magazine article from 1956.. do you thi...

i just got a rek-o-kut m-12s over head cutting lathe on a tr 43h turntable with a audax cutting head. does any one have any tips, info, or warnings about this sweet machine ?
