They are currently wired for 50 ohms in, and 50 ohms out.
Oops, a typo there....
They are currently wired for 50 ohms input, and 500 ohms output.
Looking at the transformer details shows you can change those combinations if needed...

Two Presto 40-B Preamps

Hi guys, I thought I would offer these two Presto 40-B pre-amps here before listing on E-bay. These were designed to hook directly to the Presto 88A cutting amps, using their B+ and 6.3 volt filament output connections. If you wanted to run these on their own, you need an external power supply. I me...

SOLD: Presto 75A project.

Hey guys, I've got a Presto 75A project I thought I would offer here before putting it on E-bay. There is no head, tonearm, or dampener. The rubber tire is shot. I made a new one but it turns out the rubber was too hard and transfers rumble. At this point I think it's a good candidate for a belt dri...

Re: Need Presto 6N / 8N / 8D Motor bracket.

I have the whole presto gear assembly plus a modern machined bracket to fit a NEMA spec motor if thats any use, i think it will become redundant for me soon as I am going to switch to a different motor system entirely.... I would be interested in that. I might end up using a NEMA servo. Drop me a l...

Need Presto 6N / 8N / 8D Motor bracket.

Hey guys,
I'm missing a motor bracket for a Presto 8N.
It looks to me like a 6N and 8D are also the same.

Anyone have one?

I have a manual for the D7 including schematics. Alan Graves bestowed upon me his collection before he passed away.
I can provide a copy for a fee (USA only). Sent me a PM.

Re: 12" LaserDisc (LD) Movies for cutting

I don't know how to edit or delete the post, so here is an update: Sept 20, 2021. There were a few takers among disc cutters for these. So sadly they are no longer available. Most were scarfed up in blocks by LD movie collectors on Ebay. If anyone is still interested in trying 12" LD movies, you sho...

Good eye.
Yes, most of the movies will end up on E-bay since there hasn't been many takers for cutting.

12" LaserDisc (LD) Movies for cutting

Hey guys, I ended up with 200+ of these 12" LaserDisc (LD) movies for cutting. They are like double thick 12" CDs. The only downside is the center hole needs an adapter. The size is not a standard 45 large hole. I might consider making some adapters with a 3D printer to include with the discs. Let's...

Re: alternative to transco 462 needle? can anyone help?

You might look into this:
https://agnewanalog.com/blog/type-1501-stylus-shank-adapter-gets-a-flat.html

They made this one for me that has a flat. You can then use a Neuman 320 on your Preso 1D.

Cutting stylus suppliers? Diamond usable with Master Lacquer?

In light of the fire at Apollo/Transco I'm starting to worry out about where to buy a stylus. As we know, they produced and sold styli at near cost partly to support sales of discs. I've never played with diamond / plastic - Only sapphire and master lacquer. I am only an experimenter and hobby guy. ...

Re: WTB - Presto 8N platter and shaft

not sure if this is the thing you are searching for... The platter I have is identical to that one. I'm thinking about going that way because that guy also have the shaft and bearing - and I also have a dual motor direct drive set up that also came from a Presto 64. So I could turn the 8N into an 8...

WTB - Presto 8N platter and shaft

Hey guys, I'm in need of a platter and shaft for a Presto 8N. I could make a 6N, 6D, 6E or 8D work as well. I bought a package deal from a "picker", and the platter turned out not to be for this (not rim drive). Presto 8N.jpg The motor, bracket and drive collar is also missing. Anyone have something...

Re: WTB Presto 75 Dashpot/Damper Assembly

Actually, what you want is a 171-A dampener like shown. That one doesn't use fluid.

I need one of those too. Let me know if you find more than one.
