Re: Myshank Diamond Comparisons
Synthetic diamond is undoubtedly better, more reliable and more durable than natural diamond. I have only used synthetic diamonds to produce my stylus and the result is always very good, with some stylus I can cut 50 12" records without a significant increase in background noise. Hello Yano, how are you? Picture disc using adhesive never works properly. Bubbles, detachment, warping... Today I use a UV printer here, it's perfect.

Re: Which 1200/1210?
Has anybody ever tried the new Technics 1200GR or even 1200G. The GR is supposed to have a bit more torque than the old ones - so I guess it should work? -dub Hi Dr. Dub, is the same low torque of the SL1200 mk2. Little torque and very expensive. The only advantage I noticed in the Technics GR / G ...

Re: KNOP lathe DIY build
Knop's project has renewed my interest seeing how much excellent progress he made with only access to mail-order printed parts! I've studied the photos and 3D models and have a few questions, some for Knop and some that probably others could help with: I've tried signing up to the Myshank site to s...

Re: Right channel dropout Vinyl recorder
The VR cutterhead are made with small speakers, if the cutterhead is faulty, it is likely that the speaker is damaged, perhaps the small wire connecting the coils is in poor contact, or the coils are saying goodbye. You can do a test by connecting a multimeter directly to the small speaker and pushi...

Re: Wanted Vinylrecorder T560-T580
Hello everyone, thank you all for your interest in ZEZ Cutter One. As Myshank said, there is no way to compare VR with ZEZ, they are different systems, with a differential that makes all the difference: FEEDBACK CUTTERHEAD in ZEZ One. For many, feedback is just a make-up to make it expensive and jus...

Re: Clariophone cutterhead for sale
I do not want to be offensive, but this cutterhead lacks some fundamental things to function properly.
1- Torque tube
2- connecting rod
3 - To reach the 22khz described, the mass on the move should be much smaller than that seen in the photos.
Just my 2 cents.
Good sales.

Re: Variable speed motor for lpi?
@Ciuens yes - that seems to be a viable solutions for smaller overheads. But maybe not enough torque to drive bigger rigs. I was wondering, how low 3 phase BLDC motors can be throttled? I was looking at some motors, they are rated something like 24V 3000rpm - could those be throttled down to .. say...
