i just packed up most of my gear as im moving next week but id say its around 25 degrees offset from 90(vertical), ive heard peter king does this and his records sound great, i got fairly loud results with the sapphire and excellent clarity, chek that video i posted, super loud and clear and defined...

after being inactive with my lathe for over a year im gonna get back at it part time i really enjoyed cutting records for clients it was pretty kool i got offered a job i couldnt refuse (utility worker at an arena)so i stopped altogether check my insta for updates @therealmadstyluspressure cheers fred

have you thought about using exciters? i got some from parts express and made a head and got decent results form embossing im not sure how they would fair for cutting.

they are polycarb and i find they work ok with maybe slightly higher surface noise than a strait lexan blank
