Isn't that the same seller? It's weird that he has had this up several times, and it has always had a winning bid.

That has been a weird auction, all in all. But that price is OK-ish.

Cool, thanks. No rush here, I don't think they're going to keep it hidden in the drawer. My money's waiting.

1700 series. That'll work well, but I do have some interest in developing my own cutterhead amps for fun.

Scully pics seem really rare, as are the users. It's good to have a few here!

Gorgeous! I've saved your photos down to my HD for reference (along with a ton of other Scully pics), since I'm also having a Scully/Westrex system coming in. It should be in a working condition, but I'm prepared to throughly check it out. I'm also going to post pictures here.

Sounds good. I have a 60's Scully coming in, and I'm going to be all eyes for spare parts.

I'm aware of one LS76 that was in Netherlands but went back to US. No idea if it had the DisComputer or not.

I'm new here but I'm in (and will probably be seen here a lot more). Sent a request. Anyone else is free to add me, too: http://www.facebook.com/virtalahde.

Check out my business FB page, also, link below.

I was thinking of more like 1200 Euro for that piece of work. Oh well.

Yep, it's pretty insane. I suppose the "Fonofilm Klangfilm" keywords work.

I am most likely not going to bid on this. It's an interesting piece, but it's mechanically quite limited, and I'm looking for a solid mechanical platform.

Do you think it's been operated at one speed only? The simple strobe pattern on the platter and the lack of speed controls makes me think so.

Could be a nice starting point for a heavy DIY lathe. The price seems too steep at the moment, though.

If you look a the bottom of the platter you can see a groove where a belt could have gone. I've seen a number of old lathes pictured with seperate motors on a stand with a belt that drives the platter. In the last pic of the eBay auction images, you can see a part of the shaft coming through the to...

I don't see the motor anywhere. It's not in the cabinet, that's for sure.

Hi Steve,

as you know, I've been eyeballing this one. Not sure yet what to do though.
