Re:
The ones I have for 33 and 78 for this table just say "G" as their only designation. I would certainly be interested if your 45 one would work for my model G2 table. The outside diameter of the larger part of the 33 wheel and both of the 78 wheels (1:1) are just under 3". Shaft bushing seems to be ...

Re: New Embossing Stylus!
Hey, Tasos, what are we listening to on the audio portion of that YouTube video? Wasn't sure if it was music or an old Internet dial-up connection sound. Thats a part of the track with lots if high frequencies! Sorry what you hear the piezo-speaker of my vintage oqo01 :-) If you like the real sampl...

Re: New Embossing Stylus!
Thefollowing is a sample from a recent Test Cut i did!
Please notethe frequency response above 10kHz!
*I have to notice that the overall performance is EQ optimized , i mean i fixed the resonant frequencies about 400-500 kHz and emphasize the 10-12kHz , 16kHz is 0dB and 20kHz is -12dB!

Re: Machining a spiral crank for an ROK B-5 lathe
Being owner of a similar Master Pro cutting lathe , mine also with a standard B-5 overhead , i had to fing a way how to make spiral in / grooves easier and smoother! For long time i was trying to figure out how to install a hand crank and i ended up to 3 options: A) hand crank with gears , similar t...

Re: Audiodisc Yellow vs Blue vs Red label
What i got i think they are from late 50's cause on sleeve it says "makers of Audiotape"! I will look for a sapphire cutting stylus just to try out. First with no heat coils as i have no pump but I am really looking forward to make a cut just like the 50's

Re: Audiodisc Yellow vs Blue vs Red label
@emorritt thatnk for the info! On first 2 pics you can see the colour change on the surface of the discs. On 3rd you can see the an oily line on the surface of the disc. This oily line us just on the "boarder" between the darker and lighter surface! I also believe they will be more dry but i want th...

Re: Audiodisc Yellow vs Blue vs Red label
So few days back and today both packages arrived at my lab! As seen on previous pictures , the original packing was not in real good shape and i was almost sure that all the discs would be broken already.. Happily for me that didn't happened and only few disks were scratched on the one side and most...

Re: cutterhead Audax Rh5 - appropriate amplifier
I have a Solid State , Class-D , 120W@4ohm for my Presto 1D @4ohm. It has really enough power to drive when you cut flat but when you want to boost the highs the you can notice its easier to clip (depends on the high frequencies of the track). What i also noticed is that if you don't connect the hea...
