I got things working properly. I ended up soldering together a cable to run into the mic input. I'm getting good, clean levels. Thank you all for your help.

Thanks, I got it figured out. You have to remove the hex screw that's on the knob and work that off (which was a pita) and the rest comes apart. Years of old grease sort of stuck everything together horribly...

Does anyone know how to remove the lathe arm from a Presto K8?
