The angle of the head can also cause BG noise.

Normally 90 degrees on these heads.

Older disc need to be preheated before cutting to about 36 to 39 degrees - this will eliminate a lot of BG noise.

A 40ft container from the US to the UK is about £2350 a 20ft is about half the price - I know I ship them. If I were the distributor I would look for the cheapest way to ship to the EU and that way be able to pass on these discounts to the customers. I am sure that any distributor would get a discou...

Get a copy of http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

There is an option to play at 45 rpm to 33 rpm

So when you play back the disc - it will play at 45 rpm

The last in the range - Presto 8GV has a very simular system.

this lathe is made up of 8DG parts and later 8GV parts

This is why I think it is a prototype.

I would save up and buy a overhead lathe in a box like larger Prestos and Rek O Kuts as you will get a better performance.

Send them to me and I will use them m8 It is all about applying heat with lamps. 2 x 30w spots Lazar temp gun Run on the table for about 4 mins until it gets to about 26 to 30 degrees. Pull one lamp away if it is getting to hot. Watch the chip - if it balls up around the stylus it may be not enough ...
