iam aslo assuming that in its original state this pump would have been king ...like I said above this pump for more than 50 years was used to suck the air completely out of this massive oven and hold the suction overnite till our rock samples were void of oxygen.

your tube should be flat horizontal (almost) and the head is leaning to far forward.

I've mounted many heads on the vr, bring the head down and horizontal and that brace looks like its blocking it.
