SCORED IT

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

also: keeping it strictly analog!

'Grats, Gridlock.

I'd had the same idea, actually, when I got my K-8 up and running. If I can work it out, come the next street fair wouldn't it be neat to have an old fashioned "your voice on a record" kind of booth?

Must have been a tracking error, or, possibly the engineer? (; sorry

Did you see this post in the comments?:

"Not UPS said on Saturday, Jul 21 at 12:52 AM

"Your merchandise was likely not on that train. Everybody is thinking this because it say train derailment when they track with UPS. UPS has everybody panicking for no reason. I don't think it was a UPS car involved with this. UPS is delayed because of this. When I track with UPS it say train derailment but my package left Hodgkins, IL on July 17 at 9:05 am. The Billings Gazette on their website reported the derailment on the same day at 5:57 pm. I don't think the train could have made the 1100 mile journey in 9 hours. Plus I've seen pics and from what I can see none of the cars say UPS on them."

Good luck claiming the Presto.

That's a pretty amazing derailment. I do hope your item wasn't on it.

Thank goodness apparently nobody got hurt.
