Making a record on 1950's RCA Victor Cutting Lathe

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Making a record on 1950's RCA Victor Cutting Lathe

I've been meaning to edit together a video showing my process of cutting for a long time and I finally got around to it. I bought this machine a year ago fixed a few things and began cutting terrible sounding records ever since. Thanks to the help from posts here at the lathe trolls I was able to make my dream of cutting records a reality
