Up close of depth coil suspension
Can anybody get, or possibly have an upclose view of a depth coil suspension? Or possibly exploded schematics of one?

Re: Up close of depth coil suspension
I recently had to clean and lube the bearings and took this picture of the bottom of the Neumann suspension box.
The coil is on the left. It's basically a speaker motor with a shaft connected. The shaft attaches to the bottom of the head mount on the right. The head mounts on the right side of this box. Bearings allow for rotation of the head mount. When the coil moves the head rotates causing the the tip of the stylus to move up or down. Very simple. Very clever.
