Vacuuming those groove threads

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Does the reverse hold true for compressed air?

Not really, at least not under any conditions you would normally encounter.

Given a suitable pump you can raise the gas pressure feeding a line to hundreds of atmospheres above ambient, but you can only ever lower the pressure to zero, like temperature the scale has a lower limit, and it becomes exponentially harder to lower things as you approach that limit....

Incidentally, just saw a smallish side channel blower for £60 buy it now in the UK on ebay.
