CD4 Cutter, Greg Bogantz, Rest in Peace

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hello everyone. For those of you that knew, or were aquaintances with the member cd4cutter, aka Greg Bogantz, I’m very sad to say I was informed recently that he passed away back in April. I know he hadn’t been on the site for a while, but he was a GREAT resource here regarding cutting and engineering. He was also a dear friend of mine. May he Rest In Peace!
Sincerely,
Biggs
