Unknown lathe

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Have never seen this before, but it looks fantastic.
Is it tube/valve based?
Reminds me a bit of this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wAj22g8MWkw&feature=youtu.be

Did you inquire at french broadcast companies who were cutting discs in the 50’s / 60’s? I can imagine it -could- originally come from there

It was a custom made lathe from a studio apparently named Ouest Studio in France, I could never find any information on it. Only saw a very similar amp for sale on some electronics forum. I was going in refurbishing but found another lathe a few weeks ago which is even more obscure, made by Tolana an old french audio stuff brand. Now on the way back to life.
