This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Howdy everyone recently I picked up a 7E40-7E44. It has a "the general industries Co." Motor in it. This thing is clean but a mess 5 wires are cut and don't lead to anything. By that I mean the Motor the playing arm and recording arm have them but there cut where the power source would connect I think. Needless to say I've been told the Chrystals are doa and I have no way to test it right now where should I start and what do I need.
