Luxman PD-370 vacuum

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

I wonder if this turntable could be better than the 1200 for the VR. Do you know it?
The vacuum feature is interesting...

didn't see any torque specs in the manual, but yeah the vacuum looks awesome!

I also played with the idea of using this drive for a while. But on closer investigation I found out that the vaccuum system is quite susceptible and regular maintenance and also a replacement of the seals (for older devices) is necessary. The drive has wow and flutter: < 0.03 (WRMS). I could not find drive torque either. But looking at the motor and its dimensions indicates quite low torque. (But the tonearm is from Micro Seiki and very good.)
