DinSync NC-V8 acoustic lathe

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Ok everyone; Thoughts?

I have a few;
--
01) What is the availability of the unit? Will it be generally available to anyone, or only purchasable in the fashion of the T560 in that you must fly to a foreign country for training in order to be eligible to then purchase the lathe?
02) What materials can it cut in it's default configuration? It appears to be all the same as the T560, but the information I see seems to point to the fact that the unit does not come with a cutting stylus?
02b) What blanks are compatible with the lathe? Can we use Sori blanks, MyShank blanks, Spinnertown blanks etc? Presumably all, but it would be nice to hear something specific on the topic of consumables.
03) Are new cutting styli going to be available from the manufacturer only, or, will it be compatible with shanks from Steve MyShank (as just one example). Since it seems you have to supply your own shank, compatibility seems likely.
04) What is the reparability of the cutting head transducers?
05) They seem to be a bit more than ambiguous on the topic of swarf removal. Will the unit come with a vacuum system for Automatic swarf removal, or not?
06) What are the exact Power Amplifier specs required for the cutting head? This is important to know since this amp, as with many other parts required for use, is shown as something the buyer must provide themselves.
07) Will this unit have variable groove control or no?
08) how are the lead in, groove pitch and runout settings defined and controlled? Is manual linear actuator control available for spaces between songs or other needs etc?
09) And of course, the big one, what is the price + shipping?

I have some familiarity with Dinsync because of their synth stuff, but this seems strange since they generally do Roland related analog synth/drum machine kits. I wonder if this was developed by someone else who is just releasing it through Dinsync. Their rep in the analog synth world is pretty good, their RE 303 is considered a quality piece of gear, but this is a whole different ballpark for them. But if it's like their other product it should just be available through their webshop when units are available (curious about their production capability.)

Some people on the synth lists I'm on know the guy behind the company, maybe they'll ask him about it. If any other info pops up there I'll pass it on.

this looks very interesting.

I wonder if it will be like a Diy type lathe? Where you buy the pcb and components to build it?

i’m curious about the cutting head and if the parts will be easy to source and diy friendly with the repairs?

heres another view of the lathe i saw on the web
