Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding failed or defective vinyl records from cutting sessions (after using them for test cuts of course). Have any of you found an efficient method to recycle or repurpose cutting rejects instead of discarding them?
More specifically, I’m curious whether it is technically possible to reprocess defective records back into blank discs suitable for recutting. Has anyone experimented with melting, repressing, or similar material recovery approaches?
Any insight is appreciated — and apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I searched the forum but couldn’t locate a clear answer.
Thanks in advance

If using PETG blanks you can grind the waste into pellets and use that for making 3D printing filaments. Some companies even buy PETG pellets for general injection moulding. If you are talking about lacquers, then we have no idea!
Also if anyone uses our blanks you can always send them back to us as we pay for professional recycling.
