I used some neodymium stock from evilbay and then closed the magnetic gap with some cut down "I" sections from a transformer I tore apart. I also replaced the rubber dampening with some left over rubber scraps I had.

The video shows how weak the magnet from the webster is. (Ignore the gauss meter, I think it isn't very accurate and didn't end up using it.)
I'm running from the d.a.w. to an I.R.I.A.A. board into a mcgohan tube p.a. head. I think thats it. I tried embossing a bass heavy track and did not have nearly as good results. I'd like to try a new coil someday.
It's still a webster, but it brought it back to useable condition I think. Or at least destroyable condition!
