PSA: Haeco G200 labelled as "4g". I have your power supply!

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

I want to put this in a highly visible place so i can maybe get the power supply for my unit in trade for the power supply for there unit.

I bought at auction what was supposed to be a Haeco G100 in really rough shape (I kinda enjoy that!) But I'm about 98% certain I have a G200 supply which the G200 amp section was sold with the G100 supply in a seperate auction. I'd really like to make these systems whole again.

Im adding the photos of both auctions. The G200 unit is a dual mono or stereo unit, but if you look at the topology of the power supply it is much smaller then the supply in the mono G100 auction. The G100 amp sections topology is 1/2 of the G200 amp topology. Which leads me to my assumption that the bigger supply needs to go with the G200. Backed up with a propriatary part called out in the G100 schematic being pictured on the smaller supply in the G200 auction. Part in question being the FW8R-1 (or FWBR-1. Whatever) and the G100 schematic calls out WAY less iron then ive got in front of me.

Hi mike.

I have been in contact with jacob and he was very generous to give me the schematics for the g100 unit. Unfortunately, I don't think the amp ended up with HRS.

I'm really hoping it doesn't get pulled apart for transformers, or scrapped to save another unit, or worse. But I can't get a line on where it ended up so it's looking grim. I even contacted someone I thought purchased it, they hadn't, and me and that person contacted the seller who tried to reach out to the other buyer.

I'm waiting on the g200 supply schematics just in case I have to make do. I'd really prefer not to hack something like this up.

If anybody else finds themselves in a similar situation, I have the 200 supply almost sussed out and its practically part for part on the 100 schematic. Very little differences in values.
